President

Shirley is the second female President of the Vets. She ensures we are professional, well organised, well behaved and know what our roles are. She also represents the Vets with any matters concerning the Club like landing helicopters on the golf course.

Vice President

Where there is Don there is Pat, where there is Pat there is Don. Pat is the Matriarch of our Committee and as such is always available to offer us advice and give us a stern talking to if we need one. Aunty Pat was a successful Ladies Captain for many years.

Captain

Don has held many positions in our Golf Club, including President for several years. He is our unofficial Ambassador. Known and liked by everyone in Wide Bay golf, Don is one of life’s nice guys. He is also very good at diplomatically sitting on the fence.

Vice Captain

Dennis is the quiet man of the Committee, doing a lot of his work behind the scenes. He acts as Don’s reminder app and often keeps Sue in check when she gets carried away. If you want a good tee off time in one of our major competitions, be nice to Dennis.

Golf Administrator

Sue is the glue that holds Bargara Vets golf together. Handicaps, timesheets, results, and administration. She does it all. Sue works many thankless hours in the background while we are all on the course hitting balls in the water. Without her we would not have any Comps.

Treasurer

Brian controls the purse strings and is the longest serving member on our Committee. As a result of his long service he has been awarded life membership of the Vets. If you want to spend some of the Vet's money you need to get Brian’s approval first.

Web Administrator

Chris has been drafted in to design, create and administer the new website. He is known for his colourful golf trousers, his I.T. expertise, his love of mathematics and his complete lack of social skills. He will not be attending (m)any Committee meetings.

Secretary

Alan is our secretary and performs, with enthusiasm, those tasks that nobody else wants to do. Agendas, meeting minutes, report correlation amongst many. However, he only does this when he is not on his World Tour or giving his wife, Chris, golf lessons.

Sponsor's Organizer

Carmel brings a bit of glamour to our Committee. She looks after our valuable Sponsors ensuring they are happy, well informed and get their money’s worth. She is always on the lookout for new sponsors and is also easily the best golfer in her house.

Retired VOV Editor

Ann was our great Voice Of The Vets editor. Now the VOV has gone to meet its maker Ann will be working with Sue in Golf Admin and helping with content for the new website. If you see her heading towards you remember to smile as she  may well be after a photo.

Committee Member

Mark is the newest member of the Committee, joining after persistently being bullied by Sue. Currently, Mark is a floater, working with Sue and Ann in Golf Admin. It won’t be long before he is given his own role to work on like being Vice Captain next year.
